The Scotia CDP is a census-designated place located in Humboldt County, California. As of the 2010 census, the CDP had a population of 1,392. The Scotia CDP is located on the Eel River, just south of the town of Ferndale. The community was originally established as a timber town and is now home to a sawmill and a small paper mill. The town has a historic downtown area with Victorian-style buildings.
