About Searles Valley CDP, California

Searles Valley is a census-designated place in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 1,741 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Mojave Desert, northeast of the city of Barstow and northwest of the town of Daggett. Searles Valley is named for Edward F. Searles, an American businessman who owned a borax mine in the area from 1873 to 1889.
