Sky Valley is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 10,912 at the 2010 census.
Sky Valley is located in the Coachella Valley, east of the city of Palm Springs. It is surrounded by mountain ranges, including the San Jacinto Mountains to the west and the Little San Bernardino Mountains to the east.
The area was originally inhabited by the Cahuilla people. In the early 20th century, it became a stop on the Southern Pacific Railroad. The Sky Valley post office opened in 1926.
In recent years, Sky Valley has become a popular destination for retirees and second-home owners. It is also home to a number of RV parks and mobile home communities.
