About Soda Bay CDP, California

Soda Bay CDP is a census-designated place in Napa County, California. It is located on the north shore of Lake Berryessa, east of the city of Calistoga. The population was 1,154 at the 2010 census.

The community is named for Soda Bay, a small body of water at the mouth of Napa Creek. The bay was so named by early explorer George Yount in 1823.

Soda Bay CDP is located in the southern part of Napa County, on the north shore of Lake Berryessa. It is bordered to the east by the city of Calistoga and to the west by unincorporated Solano County.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 3.5 square miles (9.1 km2), all of it land.

The 2010 United States Census reported that Soda Bay CDP had a population of 1,154. The racial makeup of Soda Bay CDP was 67.3% White, 0.9% African American, 2.8% Native American, 13.7% Asian, 0.2% Pacific Islander, 8.6% from other races, and 6.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 20.7% of the population.
