About Timber Cove CDP, California

Timber Cove is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 1,707 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Pacific coast, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Jenner.

The area now known as Timber Cove was originally inhabited by the Coast Miwok Native Americans. The first European settlers arrived in the 1850s, and Timber Cove was eventually established as a fishing village. It remained a small community until the mid-20th century, when it began to grow rapidly as a result of the establishment of the nearby Bodega Bay nuclear power plant.

Today, Timber Cove is a popular tourist destination, known for its dramatic coastal scenery and its quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The community is home to a number of artists and writers, and its proximity to the wine country makes it a popular destination for wine lovers.
