About Tuolumne City CDP, California

Tuolumne City is a census-designated place (CDP) in Tuolumne County, California, United States. The population was 2,105 at the 2010 census, up from 1,895 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Tuolumne County.

The town is located on the Tuolumne River, near its confluence with the Stanislaus River. State Route 49 passes through the town, leading north 8mi to Sonora, the county seat until 1851, and south 33mi to Mariposa. Yosemite National Park is 35mi to the northeast via SR 120.
