About Valley Wells CDP, California
Valley Wells is a census-designated place in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. It is located approximately 25 miles (40 km) northeast of Barstow and 10 miles (16 km) southwest of Nevada.
The community was named for the many artesian wells in the valley which were used by early settlers for watering their crops. The first post office was established in 1937.
Today, Valley Wells is a small community with a few businesses and residential homes. There is not much to do in the town, but it is a peaceful place to live.
