About Channel Islands Beach CDP, California

Channel Islands Beach is a census-designated place (CDP) in Ventura County, California, United States. The population was 3,867 at the 2010 census, up from 3,605 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Oxnard-Thousand Oaks-Ventura, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area.

The community includes two neighborhoods, Hollywood Beach and Silver Strand Beach. Both were originally developed in the 1920s as beach resorts. There are several small businesses in the area, including a grocery store, a gas station, and a few restaurants.

The primary attraction in the area is the Channel Islands National Park, which includes five of the eight Channel Islands off the coast of California. The park is accessible by boat or airplane from nearby Oxnard Airport.
