Coto de Caza is a census-designated place in the Santa Ana Mountains of Orange County, California. The population was 14,866 at the 2010 census. Coto de Caza is a gated community with two private golf clubs, one public golf course, and an equestrian center.

The history of Coto de Caza dates back to the early 19th century when it was part of the Rancho Mission Viejo. In 1968, the first homes were built in Coto de Caza and since then, the community has grown steadily. Today, Coto de Caza is a well-established community with a variety of housing options, amenities, and activities for residents to enjoy.
