About Desert Palms CDP, California

Desert Palms is a census-designated place (CDP) in Riverside County, California, United States. The population was 4,155 at the 2010 census, up from 3,671 at the 2000 census. It is located about 25 miles (40 km) east of downtown Los Angeles.

The community is part of the Inland Empire region and is adjacent to the city of Palm Springs. It includes the Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel, one of the oldest hot springs resorts in Southern California.

Desert Palms is located at 33°53′N 116°22′W / 33.883°N 116.367°W / 33.883; -116.367.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.9 square miles (15 km2), all land.
