Malaga is a census-designated place (CDP) in Merced County, California. The population was 2,931 at the 2010 census. Malaga is located 4 miles (6 km) southeast of Atwater, at an elevation of 151 feet (46 m).

The first post office opened in 1892.

Malaga is home to the Malaga Vineyards, which produce Muscat Canelli and other wines.
