About North El Monte CDP, California

North El Monte is a census-designated place (CDP) in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 10,913 at the 2010 census, up from 10,527 at the 2000 census. It is bordered on the north by San Gabriel, on the east by Temple City and Rosemead, on the south by South El Monte, and on the west by Baldwin Park and West Covina.

This unincorporated community offers residents a dense suburban feel and most residents own their homes. North El Monte is home to many young professionals and families with children. There are several public schools in the area, as well as a few private schools.

The community is also home to a number of parks and recreation facilities, including the North El Monte Sports Complex. This complex features baseball and softball fields, basketball courts, a playground, and picnic areas. There is also a public swimming pool at the complex.
